This is an attractively laid out site, close to the shores of Wiindermere and within easy walking distance of the town.
Windermere has an excellent sailing centre from which to enjoy sailing, windsurfing and canoeing, where you can hire equipment and take instruction.
And then there are always the fells - don't forget your walking boots! If you want something slower and more romantic, take a steamboat, the perfect way to enjoy the changing panorama of lakeland and fell.
Unfortunately tents are not accepted.
