Located on the edge of the pretty Kentish village of Goudhurst, this is the place to stay, if you want to be within easy reach of a number of the top attractions in Kent, or to simply relax during the day and light a campfire and gaze up at the starry sky at night.
The site, suitable for tents and camper vans, is set on a working farm where you can choose your own pitch, which you can park next to.
On arrival you can purchase some essential items to get your camping break underway, including logs for the campfire, kindling and a straw bale. We will also be selling snacks, confectionary and drinks on site.
We have showers, eco toilets and a washing up area.
Standpipes are located throughout the site for fresh water.
On site is a large teepee tent, which is free for campsite users to use every evening, or when the weather is not so good.
During a couple of weekends, we also hope it will be the venue for entertainment by local musicians, and tickets will be available for purchase on site and will be open to campsite users, as well as the public.
Dogs are welcome and owners are asked to be considerate towards other campsite users.
For mountain bikers, the campsite could not be better placed: Bedgebury Pinetum, one of the south-easts leading mountain biking centres, is within very close proximity either by car or on two wheels.
We can provide secure storage for mountain bikes.
In addition to mountain biking, there are miles of footpaths; thrills galore with Go Ape and fun and innovative play areas for the younger members of the family.
Bewl Water is only a few miles away and is the south-easts largest reservoir. There is lots to do both on and off the water including sailing, leisurely boat rides, childrens play area and an on-site restaurant, as well as high energy activities with Treejumpers.
The fabulous location means that you will be able to reach several stunning castles and country houses all within 15 minutes by car; these include Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle & Garden, Finchcocks and Pashley Manor.
The Georgian spa town of Tunbridge Wells, is only 10 miles away and has all you need in terms of sophisticated boutiques and high street shops, as well as some tempting places to eat and drink.
Disabled Facilities: There are no disabled facilities.
General Facilities Include: cafe / restaurant, shop, toilets, showers
Pets are welcome.
From Junction 5 on the M25, take the A21 heading towards Hastings. Continue along this road for about 20 miles, passing Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, until you come to the Forstal Farm roundabout. Take the exit signposted to Goudhurst. When you reach the village of Goudhurst, turn right at the duck pond into Balcombe's Hill (which then becomes Bedgebury Road) and continue for about 1 mile. Bedgebury Camping is signposted.
We hope to welcome you soon.
