Westerly Lake Fishing and Caravan Park
Campsite & Caravan Site: 6671 North Yorkshire

Wheldrake
Campsite's own web site
Westerly Lake is an adults only caravan park set in mature parkland with a beautiful 1.6 acre coarse fishing lake on the edge of Wheldrake village. The site is a haven for wildlife and very quiet, just the place to spend a peaceful holiday.

Our caravan park has twenty pitches, all with electric hook-ups, and 19 hard standings, with the awning area on grass. We have a small number of tent pitches mainly for couples. There is also a centrally heated toilet and shower facility, with free hot showers and hot water, and a washing up room with freezer.

The coarse fishing lake has been in place more than twenty five years and is spring fed. Many of the fish are of specimen size, and we are constantly being complimented on the superb condition of our fish. The lake is well stocked with a wide range of coarse fish, but at times the fish are a challenge to catch, and you will need an unhooking mat, and a net capable of landing carp which can reach 27 pounds in weight.

The caravan park is a ten minute walk from the village centre, with its small supermarket, and a village pub that serves excellent food.

There are regular buses to the centre of York, and the Designer Outlet and park and ride is a short drive from the site, with buses every ten minutes into the city.

  • Peaceful adults only site.
